Captain's Collection: A New Spin on the Adventure

At PCA 2025, we unveiled two fantastic releases. The first, the Blue Eyed Jack’s Revenge Maduro lovingly known as the “High Tide,” made tons of waves for its unique size and update to our fastest-selling blend. You can read more about High Tide here. But that wasn’t all that PCA had in store – we also released the Captain’s Collection!

Captain’s Collection is a fantastic sampler that any fan of ADVentura Cigars should pick up – offering all of our blends together in one unified experience. But this isn’t just a repack; each cigar in the ADVentura Captain’s Collection is offered in a 5”x52 Belicoso vitola, a unique size for the blends that offers a whole new spin on the cigars you know and love. Plus, we’re showing a little sneak peek of our 2026 release – the Blackfin’s Parlay.

We asked Marcel to shine the spotlight on this new collection and talk through some of the decisions made to lead us here. Find his responses here:

The Captain’s Collection premiered at PCA 2025 – what was the response like?

Marcel:“Electric. Being that it features sizes unavailable, and a 2026 launch, the retailers made it clear we had tapped into something special. I think people are drawn in by the story—and seeing all the blends together is something we've been asked for a while now — we walked away with nearly a 100% sellout. For a brand like ADVentura, built on discovery, that kind of reception is a big moment for us.”

Is this the first time the brand has offered a line-up like this? What was the inspiration?

Marcel:“Yes, this is a first for us: an entire collection, unified by size, designed for curated exploration. The inspiration came from the captain’s logbooks. Not just one voyage, but a journey through multiple ports, each cigar representing a different chapter of the ADVentura legacy. It’s the entire story of ADV as it unfolds, but again to make it special, we created new sizes and included the 2026 launch.”

All the blends included in the sampler are in a new 5”x52 Belicoso vitola. How did you land on this size? What do you think it brings to the blends?

Marcel:“We chose 5x52 Belicoso because it adds focus. The tapered head intensifies the draw, so you taste more nuance—more complexity. It’s like putting a frame around a painting; suddenly, you see the whole piece differently. It took the blends we already loved and gave them a sharper voice.”

What’s your favorite blend in this new vitola?

Marcel:“That’s like asking me to choose a favorite adventure. But if I must—The King’s Gold in Belicoso sings. There’s a depth, a crescendo of richness and spice that feels entirely new, even if you’ve smoked it before. It’s familiar, yet unexpected—just the way we like it.”

The Blackfin’s Parlay blend is currently undisclosed. What can you tell us about this cigar?

Marcel:“Parlay is our secret handshake. It’s a blend born from risk and reward, just like the pirates who inspired it. I won’t reveal the full recipe yet—but expect layers. This cigar whispers before it roars. It’s for those who light up not just for flavor, but for thrill.”

Who do you think this sampler is best for – seasoned ADV fans or newbies?

Marcel:“Both. It’s a compass for newcomers, pointing them to the heart of who we are. And for seasoned explorers—it’s a chance to revisit beloved blends through a new lens. Either way, it’s about expanding your map.”

Are there plans to do any other unique sizes like this Collection in the future?

Marcel:“If this collection taught us anything, it’s that our community craves intention. Not just cigars, but curated moments. So yes—we’re already sketching the next expedition. Unique formats, rare tobaccos. The journey doesn’t end with 5x52. It only begins.”
